One Year On With Wahaca

Wahaca Edinburgh

Born from a love of fresh, honest Mexican market food Wahaca opened its new site in Edinburgh this year.

After falling in love with the vibrancy and freshness of real Mexican food, Master Chef Winner Thomasina Miers and Mark Selby co-founded Wahaca.

The restaurant chain is inspired by the cantinas founded in the street markets within Mexico and this honest approach to food drove the pair to open up their first site. After numerous successful years, the duo opened Scotland’s first restaurant in October.

Red Source Interiors worked alongside the design team for Wahaca Edinburgh to make sure the right furniture was created to match the design and operation of the restaurant together with ensuring it complied with the companies FSC sustainability principles.

Red Source Interiors have worked with a number of high profile clients this year in addition to Wahaca including Bird Dog in San Francisco, MEATless in Moscow, Nobu Eden Roc in Miami, Cioccolati in Milan, Waterstones, Regus, New Balance and award winning Vagabond Wines, in the UK.

As a company we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of design and technology, quality, delivering on time every time and building meaningful relationships with our clients, whether they are designers, architects, specifiers or the end users themselves.
